First American Bank Group, Ltd. v. Iowa Dep’t. Of Transportation
The Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) condemned First American Bank Group’s long term leasehold interest in property at 800 Gordon Drive in Sioux City, Iowa. Following jury trial, the bank was awarded damages in the amount of $1,160,491 (three times more than had been offered by condemnation). The jury verdict was affirmed on appeal on February 22, 2017.
